Warranty Policy
Our Commitment
Aitkens Hospitality stands behind the quality of the products we supply. Unless stated otherwise in writing, all equipment is covered by a 12‑month warranty on parts and labour from the date of purchase. This warranty works alongside routine servicing and correct day‑to‑day care of your equipment.
To keep your warranty valid, equipment must be properly installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. Maintenance guidance is available from your Aitkens Hospitality sales representative at any time.
General Warranty Conditions
Equipment must be installed and used strictly in line with the manufacturer’s installation and operating manuals.
Where required, installation and servicing should be carried out by a suitably qualified or authorised service technician. We recommend using an Aitkens Hospitality–approved Service Technician.
Any unauthorised modification, adjustment, or repair — including changes to refrigeration systems — will void warranty coverage.
Products designed for domestic use are not covered when used in a commercial environment.

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for operation, installation, cleaning, and maintenance.
Equipment must be serviced at least once every 12 months, or more frequently if specified by the manufacturer.
Electrical equipment may require appropriate surge protection.
Gas equipment must be connected to the correct gas type, pressure, and volume as specified by the manufacturer.
Benchtop equipment is supplied on a back‑to‑base basis. Freight and transport costs to and from an Aitkens Hospitality branch or authorised service agent are the responsibility of the customer.
Refrigeration Warranty
Manufacturer operating and maintenance instructions must be followed at all times (copies are available on request).
Refrigeration units must be professionally serviced every six months. This includes condenser coil and compressor cleaning.
Equipment must be installed with adequate ventilation and clearances as specified by the manufacturer.
Failure to maintain or correctly install refrigeration equipment may result in warranty claims being declined.
A detailed Refrigeration Warranty & Care Guide is available on request.
Furniture Warranty
Care and maintenance instructions are supplied with all furniture items. Replacement copies can be provided by your sales representative if required.
Furniture is rated for either indoor or outdoor use only. Using furniture outside of its intended environment may void the warranty.
Cleaning must be carried out using suitable products. Abrasive or harsh chemicals can cause irreversible damage and are not covered under warranty.
Assessment of Claims
Aitkens Hospitality reserves the right to inspect any product before approving a warranty claim. Claims may be declined where damage or failure is the result of incorrect installation, lack of maintenance, unauthorised servicing, misuse, or operation outside of manufacturer guidelines.
This policy is provided as a general guide and does not limit any rights available under applicable consumer legislation.
